Cookieless analytics

Matomo Cloud, EU-hosted, no cookies, no consent required

Purpose: Collect aggregated, anonymised data about how visitors use the website (pages visited, time on site, entry/exit pages) so we can improve content and user experience.
How: Matomo runs in cookieless mode — IP addresses are anonymised, the DoNotTrack browser signal is respected, and no personal identifiers are stored. No cookies are written to your device.
Provider: Matomo Cloud (InnoCraft Ltd) with all data hosted in the EU.
Retention: Aggregated statistics only — no personal data is retained.

3. Local storage

For language preference, we store a single value in your browser's local storage (dexes_lang) so the site does not redirect you again after you have chosen a language. This is not a cookie, is never sent to our servers, and contains no personal data. You can clear it at any time via your browser settings.

4. What we do not use

We do not place advertising cookies, social media tracking cookies, or any third-party profiling technologies. We do not use Google Analytics, Google Ads, Meta Pixel, LinkedIn Insight Tag, or similar tools on this website.

5. Legal basis

Because this website does not place cookies or other identifiers on your device, the consent requirement under Article 11.7a of the Dutch Telecommunications Act (Telecommunicatiewet) does not apply. Cookieless analytics is permitted under the legitimate-interest basis (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR), in line with the guidance issued by the Dutch Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens.
